Easily collect new subscribers with sign-up forms and keywords you can embed on your website, share via a QR code, Tap to Join links, or use text-to-join.
Steps
- On the left-side menu, go to Growth Tools → select from the dropdown Lead Magnets or Keyword.
- Click on Lead Magnets to create a lead magnet. With Lead Magnets, you can grow and manage your subscriber lists using forms that allow consumers to sign up for your campaigns.
- In the Content window, you’ll be able to customize the form content, including:
- Form Title
- Form Description
- Privacy Policy URL (optional)
- Form Image (optional), where you’ll be able to upload an image in PNG or JPG format up to 5MB
- Form Fields, where you can drag to reorder fields and customize labels and placeholders. If you wish to add new fields, you can create Custom Fields by clicking the Custom Fields hyperlink. There, you’ll be able to enable or disable the fields you want on the form you are creating. By default, all accounts will have the Name and Phone fields added automatically to the form.
4. In the Theme window, you’ll be able to select how your form appears on your website. Select from multiple options to display your form. You’ll be able to customize:
- Display Type: Select from Inline Form View, Center Modal View, Bottom Right View, and Side Panel View.
- In the Style section, you can customize Background Color, Text Color, Button Color, and Button Text Color using hex codes. You can also customize the Border Radius and whether you want to show the Close Button.
5. In the Settings window, you’ll be able to select Target Audiences and create an Auto-Reply Message.
- In the first section, you’ll find Target Audiences. This section allows you to select one or more audiences where form submissions will be added.
- Next, you’ll find Default Phone Number, where you’ll select the phone number to use for this lead magnet. This is especially helpful for accounts that have multiple phone numbers linked.
- The last section is the Auto-Reply Message, where you’ll be able to tailor the message that will be automatically sent to subscribers after they submit the form.
After completing the lead magnet, click the Share button in the top-right corner to select how you’d like to share your new lead magnet.
- By default, a window will open with the Embed Code Tab selected, which you can paste into your website’s HTML to embed the form.
- Select QR Code Tab (middle of the window) to download a custom QR code for the lead magnet.
- Select Tap to Join Tab (top-right corner) to get the Form URL. With the Form URL, you can share the link directly with users to access your form.
6. Click Keywords to create your Text-to-Join keyword. Build a custom keyword customers can text to opt in instantly. Ideal for capturing subscribers at your restaurant, events, or in-store promotions. Grow your SMS list automatically by giving guests a fast, frictionless way to join with a simple text.
How it works:
Choose a unique keyword that represents your brand or promotion. In the Keywords section, click the Create a Keyword button in the top-right corner. This will open a new view where you’ll be able to configure your keyword and auto-reply settings. Keywords like STOP, START and HELP are reserved for the system and cannot be used.
In the Settings section, you’ll be able to customize the Keyword, Description, Auto-Reply Message, Target Audiences, and whether the keyword is active.
- Keyword: the text message keyword customers will text to subscribe to your audience(s). Examples: JOIN, SUBSCRIBE, DEALS, VIP.
- Description: an internal description for your reference. Example: New customer signup keyword.
- Auto-Reply Message: customize the message sent back to customers when they text the keyword.
- Target Audiences: select one or more audiences where keyword subscribers will be added.
- Default Phone Number: select the phone number to use for this keyword. This is especially helpful for accounts that have multiple phone numbers linked.
- At the bottom of the page, you’ll find an Active toggle that lets you switch the keyword between active and inactive.
After customizing your settings, click the Create Keyword button at the bottom of the page to save your work and launch your new keyword.
Best Practices
- Collect only what you’ll use. Fewer fields = higher completion rate.
- Brand it clearly. Use your logo, colors, and language that reflect your audience, a concise value prop, and a strong submit label.
- Show trust signals. Always include a valid Privacy Policy URL.
- Place it where traffic is. Embed on high-intent pages and print the QR code and keyword(s) on receipts, signage, packaging, and event materials.
Troubleshooting
- File upload fails: Ensure the form image is a single file and ≤ 5MB.
- Form not showing on site: Confirm the embed code was pasted into the page HTML and that your CMS allows custom embeds.
- QR code scans but nothing loads: Check internet/data connection and verify the audience/form is active.
- Custom field missing: Create the custom field first, activate it, then return to update the lead magnet.
