How to Create Your First Campaign

With SMS or MMS Campaigns you can reach thousands of subscribers in seconds.

Steps

  1. Name Your Campaign
In the Campaign Name field, enter a clear, internal name that describes the purpose (e.g., “Weekend Flash Sale — VIP”).
  2. Select Your Audience
Choose the Audience you want to target.
    • (Optional) Add custom filters to narrow down who will receive this send (e.g., tags, last activity, custom fields).
  3. Choose SMS or MMS
Decide whether to send a text-only SMS or a rich MMS (image/GIF/video plus text).
  4. Write Your Content
In the Content textbox, craft a concise, compelling message that drives action. Then click Next.
    • If you include a link: click the Short URL button under the Content box to enable click tracking for your campaign links.
  5. Use LeadWire AI Assistant (optional)
You can generate or refine your copy automatically based on your campaign goals and website. Review and edit as needed.
  6. Send a Test
Before sending to your Audience, click Send Test below the Message Preview to receive a test on your phone. Verify links, formatting, and any personalization.
  7. Review & Send
Confirm your settings (Audience, message type, content).
    • Choose Send Now or Schedule for later.
    • Click Send to deliver your campaign to subscribers.

Best Practices

  • One clear CTA. Make the next step obvious (shop, book, claim).
  • Keep it tight. Front-load the value; avoid long paragraphs.
  • Use MMS when visuals sell. Product shots, menus, promos, limited-time offers.
  • Personalize when possible. If you have names or segments, tailor the hook.

Troubleshooting

  • Can’t proceed to send: Ensure you’ve added a Campaign Name, selected an Audience, and written Content.
  • Link not tracking clicks: Confirm you clicked Short URL when adding your link.
  • Formatting looks off in preview: Send a Test to your device and adjust line breaks or links.
  • Low engagement after send: Tighten the copy, strengthen the CTA, or switch to MMS with a more compelling visual.
