How to Create Lead Magnets

Easily collect subscribers with a sign-up form you can embed on your website or share via a QR code.

Steps

  1. Go to Audiences → select your Audience
    From Audiences, choose the Audience you want to collect subscribers for, then click Lead Magnets.
  2. Preview & Edit (landing tab)
    You’ll land on Preview & Edit, where you can design and configure your sign-up form so customers can subscribe to your text campaigns.
    • Form fields: Enable/disable the fields you need (e.g., Name, Phone, Associated Company) and any custom fields created for this Audience (e.g., Birthday, Store).
    • A live form preview appears on the right so you can see changes instantly.
  3. Settings
    Configure the content and branding of your form:
    • Title (textbox)
    • Subtitle (textbox)
    • Privacy Policy URL (textbox)
    • Media upload/drag-drop: Add one image/video/audio file (max 1MB). Common uses: your company logo or a promotional graphic.
    • Submit Button: Customize the label and button color to match your brand.
      Watch the preview on the right to verify everything looks correct.
  4. QR Code
    Click QR Code at the top. A custom QR code for this Audience is generated automatically.
    • When scanned, it opens the sign-up form you just created (requires internet/data).
    • A shareable link is also provided; you can paste it into promos, emails, or social posts so subscribers can open the form directly.
    • Actions available:
      • Copy URL — instantly copies the form link.
      • Save as PNG — downloads the QR code as a PNG file.
  5. Website Embed Code
    Click Website Embed Code at the top.
    • You’ll see an HTML embed snippet for your form.
    • Copy and paste this code anywhere on your site where you want the form to appear.
    • Use Copy Code to grab it instantly.

Best Practices

  • Collect only what you’ll use. Fewer fields = higher completion rate.
  • Brand it clearly. Use your logo, a concise value prop, and a strong Submit label.
  • Show trust signals. Always include a valid Privacy Policy URL.
  • Place it where traffic is. Embed on high-intent pages and print the QR on receipts, signage, packaging, and event materials.

Troubleshooting

  • File upload fails: Ensure the media is one file only and ≤ 1MB.
  • Form not showing on site: Confirm the embed code was pasted into the page HTML and that your CMS allows custom embeds.
  • QR code scans but nothing loads: Check internet/data connection and verify the Audience/form is active.
  • Custom field missing: Create the custom field in the Audience first, then return to Preview & Edit to enable it.
